Since the inauguration of Eide Fjordbruk’s floating art installation and learning center about the future of sustainable fish farming on September 2, 2022, the elliptical pavilion — the huge, shiny fish eye — has been reported on in over 100 media outlets, including Architectural Record, FRAME, Wallpaper, Designboom, Dezeen, ArchDaily, Elle Decor, DOMUS, Parametric Architecture, and Architectural Digest.

Kvorning Design is the creative force behind the captivating exhibition at Classic Car House in Kongens Lyngby, set to open on August 19, 2023. This remarkable museum boasts a unique range of interactive and immersive features—blending innovative analog, mechanical, and digital displays with captivating films, lights, and sounds—and of course a stunning collection of fantastic cars! Classic Car House welcomes enthusiasts of beautiful classic cars, historical and contemporary architecture, and picturesque park settings to explore its expansive 25,000 sqm space.
Kvorning Design’s role as exhibition designer for the K.W. Bruun Group encompasses concept development, master planning of the exhibition zones, all design phases, as well as full production and installation—a seamless journey from idea to fully realized turnkey exhibitions.
Revitalizing the former Agricultural Museum and Virumgård, Lundgaard & Tranberg Architects, alongside landscape architect Julie Kierkegaard, have thoughtfully renovated and integrated fresh architecture that pays homage to the site’s heritage, offering a range of experiences from exhibitions and showrooms to a car hotel, restaurant, and event venue.

We are thrilled to announce that Kvorning Design together with LPO architects as consortium lead have won the competition to develop the feasibility study and pre-concept for the transformation and total refurbishment of the former Mesterfjellet school in Larvik, Norway. Marini Consulting, Seim & Hultgreen, Sweco, Multiconsult, Norconsult, Ingenia and Ljossatt round out the rest of the team.
MESTERVERKET will feature new facilities for Larvik Museum, Frivilligheten, Friskliv og Mestring, as well as spaces for meetings, seminars, and various other activities. The project will be established in the former Mesterfjellet school building.
This endeavor is closely connected to the AKANTUS initiative, which aims to highlight Larvik’s historical significance as a national attraction, as a catalyst for urban development, and as an arena for collaboration. Kvorning Design is a key member of the winning team tasked with simultaneously developing both projects.

Our World Heritage, a new, interactive exhibition showcasing World Heritage, developed for World Heritage Norway, was inaugurated at the Vega World Heritage Center in Nordland, Norway, on April 24th, 2023.
Norway’s Minister of Climate and the Environment, Espen Barth Eide (Ap), presided over the inauguration. Among the speakers were Director of Norway’s Directorate for Cultural Heritage Hanna Geiran, Director of World Heritage Norway Liv Astrid Sverdrup, and Manager and World Heritage Coordinator for the Vega World Heritage Center Rita Johansen.
Off the Helgeland coast, the tradition of collecting down from eider ducks, which nest here every spring, is maintained.
Our World Heritage introduces visitors to Norway’s eight World Heritage sites and is also an introduction to the world’s most important natural and cultural areas.
Kvorning Design is responsible for the exhibition’s concept and design, developed in collaboration with Creative Technology (Norway) and Gagarin (Iceland).
Our World Heritage will also open at the World Heritage Rock Art Centre – Alta Museum, and the Norwegian Fjord Centre in Geiranger in 2023.
UNESCO’s 1972 World Heritage Convention protects natural and cultural heritage sites indispensable to the global community.
Salmon Eye is nominated for the German Design Awards 2024 in the category Architecture.
Kvorning Design developed the architectural concept and iconic design of the floating pavilion in the 900-meter-deep Norwegian Hardangerfjord for Eide Fjordbruk, Norway, as experience center and restaurant.
