Honouring the renaissance building and using advanced communication technologies, the past is now more approachable than ever for all visitors. The exhibitions invite families to experience the intriguing history of Køge through new and fascinating stories. The graphics and applied materials – for instance oak wood, leather, copper and felt in different colours – adds a special, sensory dimension to Køge’s most famous and beautiful renaissance building on 4 Nørregade.
The concept is outlined and designed by the museum’s exhibition department in collaboration with Kvorning who acted both as both designers and producers. The exhibitions, Gifts from the past and Explosive brothers, reopened on 20 June 2015.
